See the program →A child who can swim a length in a pool is not necessarily safe in open water. Lake Conroe has no lane lines, no pool edge to grab, and water that gets cold fast. The skills we teach first, rolling to a back float and breathing while waiting for help, are built for exactly that situation. It is the reason many lake-area families drive past closer options to get here.
